Garlic and onion cooked rice

Add some flavour to your rice - and not just a stock cube. These add a little something different to your meal and this goes really nicely with our potato cacciatore.


Ingredients

Our rice with potato cacciatore

1 small brown onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup vegetable stock 1 tbsp flora buttery 1 cup white rice ½ tsp garlic granules ½ tsp onion granules ½ tsp oregano ½ tsp smoked paprika Additional boiled water Method

  1. In an over-proof dish, mix the onion, garlic, vegetable stock and flora buttery – melt the butter in the boiling liquid.

  2. Add in the cup of rice and stir thoroughly; stir through the garlic granules, onion granules, oregano and smoked paprika. Put in the oven on Gas ark 4/ 180 degrees for 25 minutes. Test the rice, with a fork it should become fluffy, if not, add additional water if it becomes dry and cook until the rice is soft.
