The Vegan Kind Christmas Selection Box Review

This year James received a lovely, unexpected Christmas gift from his boss at his day job. It was a Christmas Selection Box from The Vegan Kind.

We don't usually get to try some of these more obscure brands, usually we look at items like these and decide they're a little to pricey to buy on their own and opt for a vegan alternative from the local supermarket - vegan Galaxy or Bourneville Orange are the usual suspects.

But, when you're given a gift like this, it's rude not to give it a go! In our hamper we had:

  • Miiro - Crisp-Coated Signature Chocolates With A Peanut Heart (35g)

  • Buttermilk - Salted Caramel Cups Pouch (100g)

  • Rhythm 108 - Sweet 'N' Salty Almond Mylk Choc (33g)

  • Love Raw - Cream Filled Chocolate Wafer Bars (43g)

  • Mallow Puffs - Salted Caramel Marshmallows Dunked In Belgian Dark Chocolate (100g)

  • Whitakers - Orange Fondant Creams (150g)

  • Candy cane

So, with lots of different goodies to try here's a run through of our thoughts!

Love Raw - Cream Filled Chocolate Wafer Bar

It's a blooming Kinder Bueno for Vegans! *Mind Blown*

It was great, tasted like a Kinder Bueno - we have a bulk box of these on the way. We had half each and James regretted offering to share.

Whitakers - Orange Fondant Creams

Orange flavour Dark Chocolate coating

Nice, just like other ones you'll find in superstores. Packed with enough orange flavour to knock your socks off. James ate the lot.

Here's what an unloaded box looks like!

Candy Cane

Everything you'd want in a candy cane - nothing less, nothing more. Amy ate it, James doesn't like peppermint.

Buttermilk - Salted Caramel Cups Pouch

So imagine a Rolo meets a Toffifee and that's what these are. Amy wasn't so keen. James liked them. They're the sort of thing you'd want for a film night.

Mallow Puffs

Salted Caramel flavoured marshmallows in chocolate. We're still not sure what to think about them. Give them a try.

Miiro - Crisp-Coated Signature Chocolates With A Peanut Heart

Vegan peanut M&Ms. You're welcome.

Rhythm 108 - Sweet 'N' Salty Almond Mylk Choc

This is weird. We've all played the Russian Roulette with a bag of sweet and salted popcorn (which you didn't mean to buy, but accidentally picked up). If you get that concept and make it a chocolate bar, but you eat it all in one go. James has explained that terribly, but it's quite nice.

The Wrap Up

A good selection at a fair price. If there's a Vegan in your life and these are available again in 2021, you can't go too far wrong. At the moment, these boxes are on sale, so get them before they're gone!
